My full name in Hebrew is Avraham Yaakov Yerucham Lasko. My legal name is Avi Jeremy Lasko. In Hebrew Avi means my father. This is exactly what I am, in Hebrew I am named after both my maternal and paternal grandfathers. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet my grandfathers. Yet listening to all the stories that my mother and father use to tell me I am quite positive I have many of my grandfathers’ attributes. My drive for success and my caring for others was a definite trait of my maternal grandfather Avraham Yaakov. My will for perfection and always putting others before myself was said to be a characteristic of my paternal grandfather Yerucham. It is a true honor for me to be named after my grandfathers and although it is a heavy burden to carry on there incredible legacy I feel privileged to have the opportunity.
I am the last of 4 children born to my parents Sam and Arlene Lasko. My parents were both educators in many different Jewish day schools and high schools around the country. They lived in Albany, NY , Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD before moving to Hollywood, FL where the currently reside. My Father and Mother currently own a Passover tours business were they Operate 6 hotels around the country for the Passover Holiday. I could never have asked for better parents!
I have 2 older brothers and one older sister, who are already with beautiful kids. My oldest brother David is married to Amy and have four kids; Noah (16), Daniel (13), Jonah (8), Lielle (5). David is a practicing Pediatric Surgeon in Miami, FL. My other brother Jon is married to Ellen and have 3 kids named; Jordana (12), Ethan (10), Brendan (6).
